Alexander Westlund is a multi-instrumentalist hailing from the deep woods of Sweden, now based in the Öresund region, where he works with clients across Sweden and Denmark.
 

Renowned for his ability to explore sounds and timbres, he creates music that is both emotional and unsettling. His primary focus is on film scoring, where he collaborates closely with composers Elvin Matz and Aramis Silvereke. Together, they scored the newly released film Mørkeland, which premiered in August 2024. Currently, they are working on a new project with SF Studios Danmark—a romantic drama set to premiere next year.

Beyond his work in film, Westlund delves into sonic experimentation and storytelling. In December 2022, he released his debut album Rebirth, a fusion of ambient and experimental electronic music. Utilizing his voice, violin, and synths, he crafts dissonant and often microtonal soundscapes and rhythms.

In early 2024, Westlund released his second album, När Trädens Stammar Kallar. This concept album tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by deforestation. In a small village ruled by a cult-like society, the inhabitants perform rituals to appease a mysterious creature in hopes of restoring the forest. The album’s soundscapes are created through innovative sampling of vocals, violin, wine glasses, and tuning forks, all manipulated through modular synths to evoke an eerie, chronological narrative.
